At Westlake Hill Dentistry, Dr. Ho uses the latest medical innovations for improved healing such as Centrifuged Blood. Developed by an orthopedic surgeon, this PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) centrifuge process involves drawing a patient’s own blood and centrifuging it to concentrate the white blood cells, platelets, and healing factors.  Literature suggests it’s useful for surgeries involving bone grafting, sinus lifts, and socket preservations.  It’s particularly useful for any patients with compromised healing including patients with diabetes, smokers, patients on blood thinners, elderly, and patients that will not tolerate any other bone grafting materials for religious/personal reasons.  Ask us about it if you have any questions and we would be glad to provide answers.
