All-on-6 Dental Implants
Tooth decay and gum disease are some of the most common dental problems in the U.S. As a result, by age 50 to 64, a significant percentage of adults are missing about six teeth, and on their way to losing more. In the past, dentures were the only option but they can be difficult to wear. Dentures can put limitations on the types of foods you can eat and interferes with your sense of taste. Today, if a patient is missing several teeth, All-On-6 dental implants could be a better way to go. All-On-6 dental implants is a procedure in which a permanently fixed dental bridge is attached to 6 dental implants to replace all the teeth on the entire upper or lower arch. Patients retain about 90 percent of functionality with All-On-6 implants compared to having a full set of healthy adult teeth – dentures are only at about 50% at best. Since the All-On-6 bridge stays permanently affixed, there is no need to remove the prosthesis at night. Some patients are familiar with the All-on-4 concept, but here we like to over-engineer our prosthesis to avoid future complications. Basically if 4 implants is the bare minimum to provide a good prosthesis, 6 implants will be even better. We use our 3D printed surgical guides to digitally plan the precise placements of the dental implants to ensure a smooth process. Additionally, All-On-6 dental implants stops bone loss and can completely restore your best asset: a beautiful smile!
